Fun and Simple Block letters

After the hustle and bustle of Christmas, Valentines Day gets the brush off at my house. This year I decided that I was going to start giving that holiday the attention it deserves, one block at a time. This little project is so fun and simple. You don't even have to be crafty to get a great result.

You will need:

Different sized wood blocks

Mod Podge

Scrap Book Paper

Scissors

Sand Paper

Paint Brush

*Craft Paint (optional)

Step 1: Decide what word you will spell and line up your blocks to see how it will look.

If you want to you can paint your blocks with craft paint but, it isn't completely necessary.

Step 2: Apply your mod podge and paper to the side(s) that you want paper on.

Step 3: Once your Mod Podge dries, sand the edges for a shabby chic look.

Print your letters out on your computer. You can apply these to your blocks in several ways. I traced mine onto contact paper, cut them out, and just stuck them on. It was super easy and cheap but, you could also cut them out of scrapbook paper, fabric or solid construction paper. You can use Mod Podge to apply the letters as well. Add buttons, ribbons, fabric and trims or any other embellishments you wish.

How cute will your shelf be this valentines day?
